Question:
Is it normal to have an increased apetite before your period?
Since my surgery (RNY 5-18-01) I have not had any problems with an apetite. It has been wonderful. Starting about 4 days ago I am hungry all the time. I still fill up but am able to eat more than before. I was wondering if it could be because of PMS.. Any comments would be appreciated. — [Anonymous] (posted on July 24, 2001)

I had the increased appetite/PMS before surgery and it's still here
afterward. Only difference is, I eat just a little and I'm satisfied now.
I do take Zoloft for the PMS, that helps the cravings SOME.

I can eat alot when I am PMSing! I think it's the increase in hormones. I
usually eat whatever I want when I am on my period and it hasn't affected
my weight loss. I just try to make healthier choices but yes I do eat more
than I normally can.
