Hi, I haven't met Dr.Sax however some of our members have mentioned him. I
have surgery the 24th of May with one of his collegues Dr. William
O'Malley. He is at Strong also. Strong has several hospitals in their
system. I will be at Highland Hospital campus.
Why don't you check out the NY state people in the database here? I can't
remember who said they had Dr. Sax.
I just know O'Malley specializes in WLS. He is in the surgeons database
here. Check him out for yourself. You can also try to get a bio on Dr. Sax
by searching for "Strong Memorial Hospital Rochester, NY" in
Google.com. I hope I have helped you . S.M.Stitt... Sue Stitt

Last year I moved to Arizona, but I am from Rochester. You are moving to an
area where the hospital and medical facilities are superb! Remember Hillary
Clinton came to NY to check out the system there and Stong was one of the
places she visited. I wish I were living there now I would have my surgery
done already. You can use any of the hospitals in the network and
understand that while Strong is a teaching hospital (it is affiliated with
the University of Rochester medical School) it also has some of the best
Dr.'s in the nation. I personally do not know Dr. Sax. Rochester's hospital
are known for 3 things, treatment of burn victims, treatment of cancer, and
treatment of heart patients. I had my labor and delivery there are was
given a whirlpool bath afterwards. I also had a suite.

I am also researching Dr. Sax as I will be referred to either him or Dr.
O'Malley by my PCP. I did meet with Dr. O'Malley two years ago for an
evaluation/consultation, was scheduled for surgery, then decided I would
try to lose the weight through dieting, exercise, and lifestyle changes.
Guess what? I lost some of the weight and gained it back plus much more.
So here I go again. I hope you post your experiences with Dr. Sax on this
site. You can view his education and career experience on the University
of Rochester site at:

Good luck.

I had my first consultation with Dr. Sax on May 7th, 2001. Felt very
comfortable with him. But mostly I felt important, not like I was just
another # to him. Anyone who is lucky enough to have Dr. Sax should be
happy. Wish you all the best of luck.
