I sometimes get flakiness to my scalp now, and I haven't had the surgery
yet, I have found to work the Nutragena (spelling) T-Gel it works great,
you'll have to use it a couple of days before it really works. It doesn't
smell nice either, but it works. Good luck to you. And have fun in
Florida

If it is psoriasis, try using T-Gel shampoo, I have psorasis too, I don't
have it on my scalp but a lot of people do. I still use T-Gel just as a
preventative measure. I also use T-Gel on the rest of my body and it does
help the itching. If you use this then after your bath make sure you apply
a good hypo-allergenic lotion and try to keep moistureized. Don't worry
about the sun, it will help as long as you don't burn. Good Luck

Ok, don't freak out. Psoriasis is not an emergency! You should go see
your doctor or dermatologist to find out if this really is psoriasis, but a
few days or weeks probably won't matter. I have had psoriasis my whole
life, and my dermatologist told me it is a genetic disorder that can come
and go throughout a person's life. There are prescription shampoos that
will help, and I have also had some luck with the T-gel shampoo that has
already been mentioned. The sun in florida may actually help your scalp;
UV light therapy is one of the common treatments for psoriasis. Certain
things that dry out your skin can aggravate psoriasis, but the root cause
is genetic. This is not caused by weight loss or surgery. Good Luck!

I also suffer from Psoriasis. Let me first say that everyone is different.
What works for one person, will not work for another. Having said that,
I've tried everything. The only things that have helped to clear it are
Olux Foam (wonderful cuz it's not greasy, absorbs instantly) and a weekly
visit to the tanning bed. I only did 5-7 minutes because I don't want to be
at risk for skin cancer and that did a lot for me. Again, it could be a
couple years and many different products/methods before you can put it into
remission. I'm sorry, it's very damaging to self-esteem. Good luck to you.
