Question:
Is there anyone out there who has had any dealings with Kaiser in Georgia.
Good or bad. I am just starting my adventure with them. — Penny G. (posted on December 3, 1999)

Penny,
Please e-mail me at [email protected] Kaiser is the best that you can
deal with for this type of problem. I know all the tests and the dieticians
you will be dealing with. I have Paula which is fantastic. The surgeon at
Kaiser is well respected by his peers and knows the last techniques
to the staphling. I have talked with Paula until her ear is about to fall
off because I wanted to get a support group and also them to incorporate a
cooking class to teach you how to handle a new you. You are getting a new
life, new body and a whole new mind set.
Take Care!

As of January 1,2000. A new law has taken effect that even if you have an
HMO. You can go to another doctor. Please check into the law. Then find a
doctor who will give you a second exam for WLS. Please e-mail me.
Thanks !

I'm so disappointed with kaiser.they denied me the first time,so,i
scheduled an appeal.i thought they would treat me fairly.i was like a lamb
being led to slaughter.they refused me.i truly, believe,it's all about the
money.i met 3 of their criteria,but not enough hoops,i guess.now,i have a
third appeal with a federal agency.i've decided i need a lawyer.i've
contacted Mr.Linstrom.hope he can help.keep your chin up,penny.

I'm getting the same "lambs to the slaughter" run-a-round. I was
pressured into not requesting surgery by 3 PCP's in the room at once. I
see this as systematic discrimination of a person with a genetic, crippling
and fatal condition.
Cheers,
Jim
