I was not familiar with WLS at all. My husband had
heard that Roseanne had the surgury. From there ,I
checked into it & had my surgery on April 13/99.
So I guess I owe her.Inspired ,well I'm not sue
is the right word.

I found out that Roseanne had the surgery after I had already had a visit
with the surgeon. I have to admit that she was an insperation. I have
watched her for years yo-yo, like I know I have, and so far she is looking
great since she had the fobi pouch. One episode of her talk show she even
had Dr. Fobi on as a guest. It was very informative! I felt reassured
after the program and also had my family watch it, to help them understand
the procedure.

I rarely get a chance to watch Roseanne, but I did see her with Dr. Fobi in
December ('98). That got me to thinking about wls and I was able to find
his web site by linking through her site.
And that is how this whole wonderful adventrue began for me. I'll be
having wls in Toronto at the beginning of July.
So, yes I guess, Roseanne did 'inspire' me.
Best of luck to you.

Yes I was absolutely inspired by the show Roseanne did on her weight loss
surgery. I was completly ignorant of WLS. Watching that one show gave me
hope. I still well up with tears when I think of how that show changed my
outlook on being fat. Knowing I had finally found the answer to my weight
problem was such a relief, and she is such a real person it was like me
sitting up there saying all the things she did. Now I am scheduled for
surgery on June 18. The start of a new chapter in my life. Even tho I am
57yrs old I still have a lot of living to do. So Thank you Roseanne......

It was due to Rozanne's show that I am now scheduled for surgery in July.
I never saw it, but a good friend did and told me about it and i started
researching it.
Neve thought about that means for weight loss before. Does anyone ahve a
copy of the showl I would love to see it.

Not really. She didn't even admit to having the surgery until
recently. I have never cared for her much. And with her I
don't think it was a medical issue. She spent tons of money
a couple of years back having everything tucked and sucked.
She probably paid cash for the whole procedure and wasn't
concerned with the medical reasons for having it done.

I was definately inspired by Roseanne I had a horizontal Band procedure 4
years ago and after limited success i have regained all i lost and when i
watched the Roseanne show and visited her website i realized i needed a
revision to a RNY surgery and i am in the approval process anxiously
waiting.

I don't know if it was motivation or just information.
I never thought insurance would pay for this till I say her show.
I would have never tried to get approved unless I saw that show.

I had already decided on Dr. Fobi before hearing about
Rosanne. But after hearing she used Dr. Fobi, I turned
on her programmed a couple of weeks ago and was
encouraged by how much better she looks, BUT MOST
IMPORTANTLY, how much better she seems to feel
about herself and the surgery. Lynda

Yes she inspired me. I would never have considered the operation because
of propaganda about the operations. I am already in the position of being
denied and am about to go into an apeal. I'll get the Fobi Operation one
way or the other thank's to Rosanne!
