Has anyone had experiences with varicose veins? I think I noticed a couple today and

I have vericose veins already and I am pre-op. I have posted one of the other vericose veins questions and it won't come up. Veins that are showing might have been there before surgery. It may be that they are becoming visible as you lose weight. If they are the large ones instead of the "spider" veins, there will usually be a round bruse about the size of a golf ball as they break away from their place. It is definately something you should ask your Doctor about. I hope they don't get to bad. I don't know how heavy you still are or how much weight bearing exercise you are doing but ask your doctor if you need to do non-weight bearing exercises until you get thinner. ie. in the water or on a bike. hugs.
