Question:
I'm on Ohio Medicaid need to find a Dr. in Ohio or Kentucky
Hello all, I'm on Ohio Medicaid and I'm having a hard time finding a Dr. in my location that will take the medical card. I live in Southern Ohio and right on the border of Kentucky. So the area hospitals close by are OUr lady of Bellefone, Holzer, and Kings Daughters. Does anyone know of a surgeon who will accept the card, please let me know I'm desperate... Thanks to all that respond. — Danette R. (posted on May 31, 2005)

Danette-
Try contacting the hosptials and asking their referral service to help you
find a doctor who will take Medicaid.

None of the Doctors in Ashland take Medicaid, BUT a wonderful Doctor at
Cabell Huntington Hospital does. Dr Blaine Nease. I have having my surgery
June 13. I love this man!!! He is wonderful. He is a very well trained and
certified bariatric surgeon. This is all he does!! Call and make an
appointment to go to one of his seminars at the Ashland Plaza Hotel. You
won't regret it!!

Hi, I also am on Medicaid and I also went to Cabell Huntington Hospital and
had Dr. D. Blaine Nease. He is WONDERFUL!!!!! He worked with the doctor
that performed the very first gastric bypass and he also helped to perfect
the LAP surgery. He has seminars in Ashland and also Huntington, West
Virginia. I drive 3 hours to see him. I had so much confidence in this
man when he did my surgery that I was not even afraid when they wheeled me
in for the IV and the surgery. Now the IV is another story. hahahaa But
Dr. Nease doesn't do that. Anyway, you can find him on this web site. If
you choose him you will not be disappointed. He tells you in his seminars
about his father dying and this is the reason he chose this field. To help
those that are obese so that they can have a better quality of life and a
longer life. Hope you check him out. good luck Judy

Here is the number to contact Dr Blaine Nease's office. (304) 526-6097 or
(877) WLS-CENTER, You will probably have to leave a message for Kim Miller.
She will call you back within a day or two. They as so busy but each person
is important to them, they do not treat you like a patient, they treat you
like a friend. He has a seminar tonight in Huntington, I am not sure if
it's full or not but you can call. If so maybe the one in Ashland in a
couple weeks might work for you. Good luck.
