Question:
Does anyone know who Barb Day is?
I can't remember where I saw this response, but someone had said that "Barb Day" was a great example of weight loss. Can you help me? — [Deactivated Member] (posted on December 29, 2004)

Barb was a long term member who just got burned out on the subject, and
being head of the moderator team. One day she quit and moved on, sadly
deleting her own profile in the process. I hear from her occasionally. She
is doing great and I consider her a very good friend. The Mod job can be
stressful at times, with all sorts of hassles and concerns. I have hung in
here thru some bad times of my own. It got a LOT easier with me just caring
for Q&A, the posters here are wonderful, and for the most part I just
keep a eye on things. I remain helping here fufiling my promise to God to
help others if I survived surgery and did well.

Hi Bob, I remember Barb. I think it was a mistake that she deleted her
profile, but folks sometimes make rash decisions without considering the
long-term effects. I came very close to deleting my profile about a year
ago, but after a great deal of thought and prayer, I decided to leave it
for others who followed behind and needed my experience to learn from.
<p>You are the one that I and countless others really appreciate,
though. You have helped keep the Q&A section very enjoyable to
participate in and also to read on a regular basis. Thanks for fulfilling
your promise to God. I hope you stay for years to come, but if you ever
feel the need to move on and do something else, please leave your profile
for others who will make the same journey. It is your gift to the future
members of this site and all of us, as well. God bless! :-)

Yes, she is somewhat local to me. I knew her pre-op and then for yers
after. I haven't talked to her for awhile.
