It should be anywhere between 60mg and 80mg a day. The higher the better

As with most things in life, balance is the key. You should get the amount
recommended by your doc (needs vary be your height and weight). A little
more is probably good. But, don't eat protein to the exclusion of all
other foods. Your body does need the nutrients and fiber found in veggies,
fruits and whole grains, so be sure to eat some of those, too. Also,
remember that your body cannot store excess protein as protein. As with
all excess calories, it will be stored as body fat. So, get the amount of
calories you need in a day, and balance your food choices.

60 to 90 g per day, but remember that your body can only absorb 30 g of
protein at a time. Good luck! Patricia (285/165/155-160, 8.5 mos post)

I am 5'7" and have lost 110+ in 7.5 months. I eat 80-100+ grams of
protein per day. I have never hit a plateau and am just 15 pounds from my
goal. I know there is a formula for how much protein you need based on your
height and ideal weight but I cannot remember it. I think it might be .6 or
.7 grams per pound of ideal weight. for me that would be 88-102 depending
on the formula you use(.6 or .7).

It depends on if you exercise or not. I know that if you exercise more, the
more protein you need. the amounts I am not so sure.
