Question:
Have any of you tried Crystal Lite Slurpies at 7-11?
They are AWESOME! I've tried pineapple/orange and lemon/lime...and they HIT THE SPOT! Not all 7-11's carry them, but they are worth hunting down!!!! What a treat! — DD R. (posted on June 13, 2003)

It's my understanding that they're high in carbs. So if you're a carb
counter, check out the info on the 7-11 website. If you're not a carb
counter...enjoy! Good luck and God bless.

I love them too!!! The Raspberry Ice is great! I haven't found
lemon-lime, it used to be my favorite....

Here's some official nutrition info: At 50 calories and 11 grams of
carbohydrates per 12-fluid ounce serving, the sugar-free flavor is ideal
for consumers who are managing carbohydrates everyday, including sugars,
and would like to enjoy a Slurpee.

It apparently has "some" carbs, not a heck of a lot... here's the
information I found about it online:
"The new raspberry-flavored Slurpee offers a beverage alternative to
consumers concerned about sugar intake and calorie consumption. At 50
calories and 11 grams of carbohydrates per 12-fluid ounce serving, the
sugar-free flavor is ideal for consumers who are managing carbohydrates
everyday, including sugars, and would like to enjoy a Slurpee."

OMG! they have those? I haven't walked into a 7-11 and even looked at the
slurpee machine since before surgery because I KNEW there was no way I
could have one...I'm gonna have to stop and take a peek - I've missed my
slurpees!! LOL Thanks for the heads up ~ Denise 316/153

That was my breakfast this morning lol. I got up and left and had no time
to eat. I drink them alot, my favorite is the lime and the raspberry. I
have tried the pineapple/orange and I thought it was a little on the tangy
side, but if that's what they have that's what I get:o)

I absolutely love the lemon/lime and pineapple/orange. I absolutely hate
the raspberry ice. Keep in mind, though they have approximately 4 calories
per ounce, so you still have to watch your calories with these. A 48 oz
one has 192 calories. Some days I'll do one, but most days I'd rather
spend those calories elsewhere.

I tried the raspberry and the lemon lime. The raspberry wasn't too bad,
but I didn't love em. Too sweet for me. I suppose if you do, then it would
be a good treat!!!

I love the Crystal Light Slurpees - it's like cheating. But to the person
who said they have 4 calories per ounce - are you sure? Crystal Light (the
drink) has 5 calories for 8 ounces. I can't see why the Slurpees would
have so much more - they don't have sugar in them.

Beware...All Slurpies (even the Crystal Lite) have carbonation in them!

I think these slurpees are the only thing I've ever posted about here
*grin* they are great. Yes, they have some carbonation in them, but VERY
little... as with all things in WLS land moderation, moderation,
moderation... for me, that means only 12 oz at a time... (I don't need
more) and I try to keep it to two a week at most -- many weeks go by that I
don't have one... seems getting to 7/11 isn't the easiest thing in the
world for me... but I also try to walk there which makes it a real reward.
I've tried all the flavors but I like lemon lime the best. It seems all my
local 7/11s have replaced that with the orange pineapple. Remeber, it has
plenty of NON sugar carbs -- still not sure what they are.
