Question:
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should take to the hospital and hotel
I will be traveling out of town for surgery, NEXT WEEK!! but I'm not sure what I should take to the hospital and hotel to have on hand. Any advice? — Debbie K. (posted on June 10, 2002)

for the hospital, you just need the bare essentials: driver's license,
insurance card, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, underwear, robe,
slippers, deodorant, maybe chapstick. As for the hotel, i would bring
change of clothes, pajamas, money. You won't really need too much though.
The hospital supplies basically everything you need, but be sure to leave
all valuables at home! goodluck!!

Altho I never used mine, plenty of other people did: a wooden spoon that
you don't mind throwing away afterward. You can use it to wrap toilet
paper around so you can reach to wipe when you're in pain and can't bend as
you normally would.
