Hi. I think every surgeon is different, but I think the consensus is after
you've lost all the weight you need to. My surgeon doesn't want his
patients having any additional surgery until we're a year post-op. Hope
this helps. Good luck.

My surgeon says wait a yaer to give your body time to heal. But if for any
reason they have to go in to do other procedures they may be able to do it
before a year.
I am hoping for a TT myself. Good Luck!

Just thought I would offer a differing opinion here. My WLS surgeon says
it's totally up to the plastic surgeon as to when to do it. My plastic
surgeon prefers to do it when you're down 65-75% of the way to goal. He
wants his patients to "grow" into the TT; he says that it
looks more natural that way... and in my experience, he's right. I've seen
five of his TT patients, both before and after, naked, and they all look
fantastic! I'm down 65% of the way now and hope to have my TT in May. Read
my profile for more details.

My plastic surgeon says to do it when you have 20 pounds or less to lose.
It will then get the best results. The reason is if you lose say 50 more
pounds AFTER the TT, you might have hanging skin AGAIN due to the weight
loss.
