I am sorry that I can not personally answer your question. But I do have a
recommendation. When I have any kind of medication question, I call a
pharmacist. They have always been so friendly and willing to help me with
anything, even if they are not the ones handling that particular
prescription. I am a visiting nurse and rely on pharmacists quite a bit.
They will be the ones with the most education regarding medication
combinations. Good luck Shelley

You're taking diet pills? Have you had WLS surgery?

Shelly, An excellent suggestion. Doctors don't necessarily know which meds
can go together and which can't. Pharmacists are trained for that. They
also usually have computer databases that can can show whether any two
drugs can be taken together.

Both Xenical (for fat absorption) and Ionamin (works on the central nervous
system-an appetite suppressant, are diet pills, and quite frankly you
shouldn't need either of these IF you have had WLS. You will surely run
into other problems with blood pressure and digestive problems if you are
taking these and you've already had the surgery.
