Question:
4 four months out, did anyone ever

feel later on they they could eat less? I don't get sick , but I feel very full very quick, much quicker than a month ago, actually, more satisfied. Could it be I am "learning" that full feeling? I have really watched for that in the past when I first started, but ended up finishing when I felt it was enough, not so much from HOW MUCH I was consuming.I probably could of ate more, but was afraid to.My loss is spuratic(sp) I will go 2-3 weeks, nothing, then I will lose. ( I am 37). Thanks people...    — Marie A. (posted on January 26, 2002)

Yes I experienced the exact same thing as you. I also believe that I had to learn what the new full felt like and I just had to learn my new plumbing and sensations.

Hi Marie: I have days where I eat and don't get that full feeling and then I have alot of days where I can only eat a bite or two and I'm stuffed. 5 1/2 mos post op...guess it is just my body...I'm frustrated as for the past month the scale has only moved 3# but I have lost some serious inches. Clothes that I could wear last month only 3# heavier are falling off of me now. I just discovered these new things that I never knew I had...RIBS....I am resigned to listen to my body....if it wants to eat I eat, if it doesn't I don't.....oh p.s....I am down 107# from a size 28 to a size 9....boy does that feel good

I'm not eating less at a sitting, still 1-2 oz., but eat less during the day, less frequently. This has been a good change as I was tired of trying to find something to eat all the time. I was hungry every 1-2 hours and I was getting annoyed (strange, never thought that would happen). But I would get the feeling of HUNGER, much stronger than pre-op, more like a hunger PAIN. So now I only get hungry about 4 times a day instead of 7-8. Thats really good that you are listening to your body, it is smart when it comes to HOW MUCH we should eat, and even WHAT we should eat. Keep listening!!
