I have had the same problem. Scared me to death. It was not a hernia, which
I feared, but adhesions. As long as it is burning and not pain, you can
probably wait until your appointment. My adhesions come & go as scar
tissue forms and heals and the process continues. Mine are a little worse
than most because I had some complications. I am 3 1/2 months post op from
original surgery, 3 months from followup surgery. Try massaging the area -
that helped me. Also a little heat helped. Good luck!

Its probably nothing, I had those burning hurting come and go while things
healed. It takes time to feel better. Try to take the long look at things,
short term having surgery is stressful and anthestics can do a job on our
minds and odies. Just try to take it easy in the mean time.

I had the same burning sensation just to the right of my incision next to
my belly button. It would get progressively more painful as the day wore
on. But by the time I was 8 or 9 weeks post-op, the burning pulling
senation was gone. I attribute it to scar tissue forming during the healing
process.

Pain on the left side is really really common around the 3rd week post-op
and a few weeks after. Do ask your Dr., but it is probably normal and one
of those things I wished someone had warned me about when I was a newbie
'cause it is scary.
