Question:
Has anyone gone to Inches-A-Weigh?
Their exercise equipment seems to be low impact (which I need for my hip). They wouldn't let me try it when I was there because I was breastfeeding at the time. They were upset with me for not informing them prior to scheduling an appointment. Who knew it would be an issue? However, they insist on using their supplements and my surgeon says NO. I'm just curious if anyone has used the program or knows anything more about it. Thanks so much. — Lindsey G. (posted on April 9, 2001)

I tried inches-a-weighmany many years ago. It is very low impact. But
while I was doing it I never really got what you would call a cardiac work
out. One good thing about the program is they measure your entire body
once a week so if your post op that would be a good measuring tool. I dont
know why they had a hard time with yoou breastfeeding but who knows. In my
opinion it is a good program too start to wake up muscles you might not
have been using but it is not good for cardio vascular.

While I haven't been to Inches aweigh, I considered it for starting up my
muscles. I was not aware they MADE you take their suppliments. That to me
is a red flag! No one should make you injest a product just to use the
machines. Sounds fishy to me. Besides none of their stuff has been tested
on your new gastric wiring system. I would think they would be opening
themselves up to a lawsuit if they made you take a suppliment and it had
detrimental effects on your system. There has got to be another location
with the low impact machines.
