Question:
will eating the wrong thing make me gain
Will eating the wrong thing make me gain my weight back? I try to eat good foods, but when I'm upset I tend to eat what ever I can get my hands on. I don't dump at all and that scares me alot. I don't eat that much when I'm upset it's just the wrong things. I'm messing myself up right and how can I stop? — [Anonymous] (posted on March 13, 2001)

Eating the wrong foods won't get you healthy! Good health should be our
goal with this surgery. Also, there's a law about losing weight -- we must
burn off more calories than we take in. If you are choosing high calorie
foods and taking in more calories than you are burning, then, YES, you will
gain weight. What's nice about weight loss surgery is that we can feel
satisfied with much less food. It is up to us to make the best choices. I
suggest you clean the bad foods out of your house and stock up on healthy
choices. Best wishes to you as we struggle together to learn new and
healthier food habits! ; )
