Question:
Who should I bring to an appeal committee meeting?

I've been appealing my request for gastric bypass with Cigna since August. Anyone with a BMI over 50, the appeal right quick, so it seems. But I have a bmi of 45, too skinny for them. They have arranged an appeals committee meeting; I have to meet with all sorts of people for this review. They say I can bring someone. Have any of you brought people to fight for you? If so, who? What else should I do/bring/etc? I've got all my records...My PCP is no help, he refuses to do anything because CIGNA doesn't pay him enough. The WLS surgeon cannot do anything unless I get approved.
