I was told absoloutley no jewelry or nail polish. Some others have posted
in the past that all jewelry has to be removed but some were able to polish
their toes, and polish fingers if they used clear .From what else I have
read, some do and dsome do not have any problem with hair loss. Good Luck

I have a tongue piercing. I had to take it out for surgery. I had heard
that the tongue closes in a few hours, and I was afraid of having to pierce
it again. I took it out right before surgery and handed it to my mother.
I put it back in on post op day 3. Imagine my surprise when it slid right
back in, without ANY resistance!!! I was exstatic!! I had to remove ALL
jewelery and nailpolish. Good luck

If you're not ready to give up your tongue piercing, then your not ready
for wls surgery. It comes down to the degree of motivation you have as well
as making mature, adult choices. Jewelry shouldn't even enter the paradigm.
