Question:
How long are you suppose to use the abdominal binder?

I stopped after one week and i think that was too soon. I think i may have an incisional hernia, but not sure. I have a doctor visit scheduled for next wed, 30th    — kim G. (posted on January 24, 2001)

My Dr says I should wear the binder for atleast 6 weeks. The only time I take mine off is when I take a shower or when I wash the binder. Wearing the binder is comforting knowing that its holding everything together until all is healed properly. Good Luck

I'm 11 weeks Post-op and my Dr. told me to wear the binder for 3 months. I like to wear it. I feel more comfortable with it on, but I guess everyone is different.
