Question:
Does anybody have a 'good' pre-op Diet I can follow?
Hi! I have less than 9 weeks until my WLS and I would like to go on a diet to take off some of this weight, to make it easier for my doctor. Does anybody have a good diet I can stick to for 9 weeks? I am starting to walk in the morning for 1/2 each day. Now I just need help with a structured diet to go along with it. Any diet suggestions would help greatly....Thank You — Stacey S. I personally would do the same thing over I went on a seafood diet before
mine and dont regret it a bit. I seen food and I ate it everything i knew
it would probably be a long time before i could eat again. But on a serious
note for you and those who are health conscience before I would say begin
with your high protein diet now. This is what you will need to be on
afterwards stay under 1200 calories. Hope I helped.

I have been following a pretty good plan for about a month now and have
lost about 30lbs. I have V8 juice and maybe a protein shake for breakfast.
(sometimes I have dish of fruit instead.) For lunch I have a salad with
30z. protein like fish, chicken. I also have a 2 cups of veg. soup. I
make a soup on Sunday and it lasts all week for lunch at work. ( I am using
the soup they call TJ's) For dinner I have salad and protein. I do not use
any specific salad dressing but try to thin whatever I use. I plan to keep
this going the next month before my surgery. I feel good on this and I
know I will need to do the high protein after the surgery.
