Question:
I was told you can not eat mushrooms after surgery, is this true, and why?

I've never heard that one. I had my lap RNY in March and have been eating
mushrooms frequently since then without any problems. Good luck!

That's a new one. They have no calories and not much food value. I am very
intrigued as to why this would be? 6 yrs now and no trouble with 'em. Would
you post or let us know what the rationale is?

Sorry, but that must be an old wives' tale or something. I have no problem
with mushrooms. However, different foods bother different people. Maybe
someone is unable to eat them and just assumed that others couldn't. Who
knows.

Hi. It took awhile, but I can eat all the mushrooms I want within the
limits of pouch size. I can eat them cooked or raw. Just remember to
chew hard, and if you think you have chewed enough, chew some more. LOL
