Question:
has medicaid/ medicare (the blue Forward card) ever approved WLS in Wisconsin?

Medicare is basicly the same no matter what state that you are in unless you have chosen one of the HMO'S that Medicare offered in the past. If you are on "regular" Medicare Insurance, I am told that they do pay, but the final decision is up to the government. Each case is different. Medicare is the only insurance that will not let you find out til after the surgery is completed. Then the paperwork is turned in to them and they decide. As w/ other insurances, if you are denied, it can be appealed. Good luck!

I have Medicaid in Illinois. I've heard that the govt benefits are better in Wisconsin. I was approved for the surgery in two days. I didn't deal with them at all.
