Question:
Can anyone help me with insurance issues?

I have blue cross california choice, my doctor submitted once and it was denied. Is there anything I can do about this. I have GERD, asthma, a heart condition, and have been having blood sugar issues.    — melody B. (posted on December 2, 1999)

What was the denial based on? Have you appealed yet? I understand that some insurers routinely deny the first submission and approve on appeal (maybe they know you're serious!)My plan was that if I was denied I would do the first appeal on my own and if denied again I would seek legal counsel. Luckily, I was approved the first time. Best of luck to you!

Always go back with appeals. Especially now that the insurance companies are on the hot plate.
