Question:
Should I wait it out or not?

I was diagnosed today with Acute-on-Chronic Cholecystitis the pcp suggested I not wait. However, I need to have my hernia repaired g/b removed. I want to get all three (wls) surgical procedures done at the same time. I do not want to go under the knife more than I need to. My question is how long does pre-op testing and Insurance approval actually take? In light of serious medical problem.    — Sharon S. (posted on November 19, 1999)

sharon, it took me 6 weeks or more to get approval. I would not wait that long to have my G/B removed. That is not something to fool around with, trust me,i know.....just adding my 2 cents...........barb
