Question:
1 week post-op with severe nausea and some vomiting. Will this stop?
my doctor started me on tube feeding through my g-tube 3x/day. He beleives that this is due to swelling at the anastamosis site, and it will go away. How big of a set back is this? — Peggy H. (posted on August 19, 1999)

I was just at a support group meeting in Massachusetts with Doctor Randall
who is the leader in the gastric surgery in the area.
He said that if the surgery is done right that you should not need any
feeding tubes. It seems to me that more is going on with you than what the
doctor is stating. You should go see another doctor for another oppinion
