Question:
Pimples on forehead & pain in upper back????
I'm 3 1/2 mths post-op. Have lost 75 lbs. Am noticing dozens of tiny bumps or pimples on my forehead. Don't know if related to surgery, vitamins or what. Am taking all my vitamins every day. Also am experiencing pain in upper back. Don't know if related or just weak muscles. Anyone have any ideas? — ricky (posted on August 17, 2005)

Perhaps the pimples are because of the hormone changes that rapid weight
loss could cause. As far as backaches, perhaps it is because the weight
loss is causing an imballance. I was a kluz during the first six months.
There are lots of very quick changes in the first year. Your body does'nt
know what to make of it.

According to my surgery handbook, you are excreting fat even thru your
pores. This will cause pimples. If the condition is really severe, you
might want to see a dermatologist. I'm going to have to agree with the
other answer on the back pain. However, if it becomes severe, you will
want to see your doctor about it.

Not sure about the upper back pain, but for the bumps on your forehead,
check your ZINC levels... you may need to take extra ZINC.

I'm having the same problem over my whole face and upper back. (10 months
out) Acne at FORTY! UGH! Am going to try the zinc, and possibly see a
dermatologist. Would love to know if you find out anything else!
Best to you, bumpy friend!
