Question:
Which scar camouflage makeup works best?

I would like to know your experience with scar camouflage makeup. The brands I've been looking at are: Dermablend, tattocamo.com, Colortration, Coverblend, Jane Iredale, Linda Seidel, sachacosmetics.com, and Makeup Artists' Choice (Paramedical Camouflage Foundation). I go out to the beach on on my boat a lot, and would like to be able to cover my surgery scar (yes I wear sunscreen religiously!) Thanks!    — Jenny B. (posted on May 17, 2005)

My daughter has a rather large port wine stain on her face, and when she chooses to cover it, she uses Dermablend. We feel it covers the best, smooths and blends great. Good Luck!

Estee Lauder's Maximum Coverage make-up has nice coverage and doesn't feel as heavy as Derma-Blend. A little goes a long way, so start with a tiny bit and add more if needed. It's waterproof and SPF 15.
