Question:
I am doing a paper on Bariatric Surgery
I am doing a paper on Gastric Bypass Surgery, I am having a hard time finding reliable info on the dramatic life changes one faces before and after the surgery. If anyone could help me either find a link or reccomend some reliable sources it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You — Mark C. (posted on March 22, 2005)

Can you reference this site as a reliable source for your paper? If you
browse through the QA archives:
http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/showquestions.phtml then you will
find tons of stuff on here. It will take you a long time but there's so
much information on here about diet, exercise, interpersonal relationships,
and psychological changes. You will find some people switch food for
another addiction - drugs, alcohol, etc. You could also try Carnie Wilson's
books "I'm Still Hungry" and "Gut Feelings". There is
also a book by Barbara Thompson called "Weight Loss Surgery, Finding
the Thin Person Within". As for website sources:
http://www.spotlighthealth.com/. Of course, there is also the Obesity Help
Magazine http://www.obesityhelpmagazine.com/, too. Good luck!

I liked the American Society for Bariatric Surgery website. There is a ton
of info there. Also try different web searches on google and ask jeeves.
When you reword your queries you can get different info.
This site is also awesome for info. Dig into the archives and past
articles. Browse the library. Contact local surgeons for info or even
email members.
And share when your done! I for one, love new info and hearing about new
sources of it.
