Its a nice alternative, but too much of a good thing, is still too much. I
feel for ya, dealing with demons myself, and its hard. Best of luck.

If I eat more than one bar at a time I dump from them. So I have one piece
and then go back for the other 1/2 later! I love them also, but you really
need to be careful! They have calories!!!! Try cutting them into pieces
and spread them out more...that way you still get your taste but don't end
up eating so much at one time!

the problems I see, and have, with this type of sf/ artificially sweetened,
usually with sugar alcohols is that is is a reversion to my old eating
habits. Eating high calorie / low nutrient foods instead of the healthy
foods I SHOULD be eating can and will make me fat. they have just as many
and sometime MORE calories than the food they are subsituting for. In all
cases they are highly processed and nutrient deficiant. The sweetness of
the foods ncreases my appetite and cravings as well. That is all in
addition to the horrendous gas and diahrea is experience if I consume more
than 2-3 grams of sugar alcohols. If you have to ask if this is OK it tells
me you are having doubts as to whether this is a good choice for you.

I never heard of them. Boy I've got to have some!!! :)
They probally cost an arm and a leg too. They probally would'nt be to bad
for you, but I bet they are high in caleries. Low sugar or sugar free tends
to be.

What is the old omen,"everything in moderation". I guess I woud
look at it this way. I allow myself a certain amount of calories per day.
Should you want to spend your calories on this treat it is perfectly
fine...providing you are getting sufficient protein, taking your
supplements, and basically doing what you know you should. We all fight
this sort of addiction, that is why we got to where we are, or were. I
wish you the best. It is wonderful that you asked for help. I need it
often. It is so easy to get off the beaten track. I guess we have to
think back to all that it has taken for us to be in a position to lose
weight, and improve our lives. Once again, I wish you well!

I will be 18 months out on the 25th of this month and I've already
discovered there are some things I cannot buy "by the carton."
One of those is the Zone chocolate crunch protein bars. If I buy one of
them and eat it then I can forget about it but if I buy a box of them, it
seems I'm back in the pantry having another shortly after I eat the first
and I can't seem to leave them alone until after I've eaten them all! My
point is, occasionally ANYTHING is not bad for us but if you find you can't
leave it alone, I'd say only buy one at a time and keep them out of the
house. The nutrition contents on them seem okay so they may work fine for
you but I know they wouldn't for me. I'm not, and never have been, a big
sweet freak but if I ever get the taste in my mouth, I'm sunk because I'll
eat until there's no more left.
And by the way, you might ask yourself why you need a "treat" to
get you thru detox from sugar. Every counselor I've ever had says that is
wrong thinking and contributes to making a person fat............that maybe
a better treat would be to have a chunk of cheese then have a non-food
treat. Just a thought.

I fight food compulsions daily. My head is still working--too bad. In my
"before" life I even over ate radishes--I WILL find a way to
compulsivly over eat--if possible. Thank goodness, for me, that too much
artificial sweetners or sugar alcahol gives me dihreha. I no longer touch
SF ice cream or candy---I overate on both and paid the price. Now I avoid
them like the plague. If you can find a way to treat yourself and set
limits, go for it. For me, the surgery works and sets the limits my
addiction won't let me. bEST OF LUCK--Bek (please excuse spelling--in a
hurry) LOL
