Question:
Has anyone used Kaiser in Riverside, CA to get an approval?

I would like any help with this....if someone has a doctor who is already familiar with WLS, I would appreciate it. I am new to Kaiser and would like to start with the right doctor. Thank you very much. Patty    — Patty-C. (posted on September 28, 2004)

Under Kaiser's protocol, you need to start with your primary care physician. The PCP will get you started with all the things you need to do - nutrition consult, lab tests, psych consult, etc. If you do not have a PCP or your PCP is not willing to help you, then you can start looking for a new PCP. If you need to find a new PCP, I would recommend you go to Memebr Services at Riverside Medical Center and ask them for help. But, your very first step is to make an appointment with your primary care physician.
