Question:
is this normal weight loss?
I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and am down 22 lbs . This is including my bowel prep loss of about 10 lbs. I feel like it should be coming off faster for all the more I am eating. Does it take a while for it to "kick into high gear" or does this mean I might be a slow loser? Or is this pretty much the norm? I am just so anxious to get this show on the road and I am not real sure what to expect! thanks for any input — jennifer S. (posted on August 5, 2004)

That is so out of this world. I had lost 22 lbs in 10 lbs and felt so good
about myself. You are doing fabulous. You'll drop a bunch of weight when
you lease expect. Remember to exercise...Good luck, Judy

I am glad you asked Jennifer, we are at the same stage....I have lost about
26lbs in 2 1/2 weeks including my bowel prep and I too thought that was
slow....It is good to know we are not alone. Good Luck ;-)

I think that is about where I was at that stage. I know once I felt better
I got more exercise and the weight seemed to drop off faster. I had my
surgery on May 17th so I am not quite 3 months out yet and have lost nearly
75 pounds. This is the best decision I have ever made. Best wishes for many
healthy and happy days ahead.
