It sounds like you have a good case for a tt due to medical necessity. I
hope you have been complaining to your PCP regularly because of your back
and leg pain. With enough documentation, many insurance companies do pay
for it.

i don't think you are obsessed at all. you have gotten to goal, but have
leftover skin. it is something that the everyday "normal" person
of your weight wouldn't have. for me the excess skin is not a vain thing.
it does cause other health problems..rashs, back pain ect.. not to mention
emotional pain. having the tummy tuck will be like finishing what you
started when you had wls. not to be sexy, but to appear normal.

I don't think it is crazy. Every time I tell a post op that I have a hernia
they tell me how lucky I am. I am getting my tummy done on the 27th with a
hernia repair but nothing is thrown in for free! I have to pay $5,000.00
out of pocket for the extra work. Way better than the $12,500.00 I was
quoted by the plastic surgeon but certainly not free. I too can ot focus on
anything but the belly when i look at myself. To me I look deformed and it
is hard to see a thin person with this thing hanging down in front of
everything. I am a size 8 now at 5'7" and 153 but I think that it is
just because I need the extra room for the goo belly!

Go For It!!!!
I got so tired of packing my hanging skin into my clothes. I felt pretty
normal besides that. I am 3+ weeks post-op from the tt and cry tears of joy
when I look at my flat tummy!
It is so worth it, do it!
