The pain could be from many different sources. Did you over eat today or
have spicy food that you haven't had before? If it were a stricture or
blockage, you would probably feel nausious or be throwing up. You should
probably check with your surgeon. Do you have a temperature? If so, it
could be the flu. Good luck!

this is where my pain was and exactly like you are expereincing. I have an
ulcer on my small bowel. If it doesn't go away in a couple of days, ask
your surgeon to do an endoscopy. This is how mine was finally found. They
don't show up on x-ray or cat scans. been there, done that. Hope you feel
better soon.

My advice to you is to call your surgeon. I had pain in my mid epigastic
region(right in the middle where the ribs meet) and in the left side right
along the rib cage. I was diagnosed with gall stones- it can also hurt
there even though the gall bladder is on the right- it is called deferred
pain- BUT- when I was seen for my pre op visit to get my gall bladder
removed- I was in severe pain- I was sent directly to the hospital and was
in surgery within the hour- Not only did I have gall stones- I also had a
perforated intestine- the area they reconnected the new stomache to had
herniated and the small intestine worked its way though the hole and
flipped over the colon. It could of been deadly (peritinitis) had I waited
a few more day- I am 8 1/2 months post op with out any previous problems.
It was freaky, but very serious. Do not mess around call your doctor!!
