Question:
Has anyone had mri of the knee showing bruising, bleeding ?
I have had problems preop and post op with knee giving way. Was told that wt loss would help. Have lost about 170lbs in 16 months but problem hasn't really improved. Now orhto md says that the mri results he's seeing may just be from the weight loss and should get better with time. Has anyone else had false results on an mri knee study from the weight loss or is this just a run around?? I'm tired of not being able to trust my knees to go hiking and horseback riding!! — Dana D. Dana, this sounds a bit strange to me. I had an MRI done of my knee
because I have a bone tumor and the surgeon wanted to make sure it was
benign before scheduling a total knee replacement. The results were ok
(thank God) and he certainly didn't say anything about weight loss causing
any problems. I did have a total knee replacement July 30 (I have severe
osteo-arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis).
