You should not take NSAIDS like Advil, Motrin, Aleve or Cox 2 Inhibitors
like Mobic, Vioxx or Celebrex. Also, no aspirin and that includes
Excedrin. I have had to take small amounts of Celebrex because of severe
arthritis but I take it only when I can not walk otherwise. I am sure
there are other medications that could be problematic but these are the
very common ones. The best source for this kind of information is your
surgeon.

I was told not to take time released drugs either. They pass through you
system too fast so you do not get the full effects of the medicataion

I was told not to take time-release meds or gelcaps if they are oil based.

I can send you a partial list of no-no's, if you email me pvtly. The other
thing to remember is to always ask 5 questions when receiving a new Rx from
your doc. 1) will it interefere with any of my supplements? 2) will my
supps interfere with this? 3) can it get it in non-timed release? 4) is
it a pouch-burner? 5) do I need to adjust the dose up or down for my
malabsorption? Which might turn into In which part of the gut is this one
absorbed? Most docs (PCP's, non-WLS docs) really do not understand
malabsorption so we have to sort of lead them along.
