Question:
Does anyone know a plus-size friendly pool for exercise in NYC

I'm not from the NY area, so I can't help you with locating a pool there but I will tell you what's been helpful for me. We purchased a 14'X3' pool for the kids this summer at WalMart (very affordable at $115), I found yesterday evening as we were playing "whirlpool" that after about 5 trips walking around the pool that I was feeling it in my thighs and my heart rate went up. So, since I can't swim when I want to, I can go out and "walk laps" and get some really good exercise. I even tried jogging a few laps this afternoon. The kids love it and it's helping me, because as a pre-op, walking is just not working for me at this time so I use the pool. Good luck!!

I just checked out the YMCA and it looks promising. You may check out your local YMCA they also have classes for folks like us at our "Y".
