Question:
Is there such of a thing?
My hubby "MAY" give me a party for my b-day this coming Sat. and I was wondering if anyone(like Walmart or a bakery) makes sugar free cakes? He can't bake so that is out of the question. Also, I have tried my best to swallow the Nectar and I just can't do it. Would getting the protien bars, doing CIB, and the protien from cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc., be enough to get my protien in? And is the Isopure from GNC look like it might be similiar to Gatorade? I am going there this weekend to find it. I know the protien is key to the continual weight loss and I do not want to platue forever. Thanks for any info! God bless! — dixieb (posted on July 9, 2003)

YES! There are many places that make sugar free cakes, pies, and
cheesecakes. Often specialty bakeries will have them, but I usually get my
father (who's diabetic) sugar free cupcakes right at BJ's wholesale club.
I also make sugar free pies using sugar-free fat-free pudding, and homeade
whip cream (cream, equal, vanilla). While I know you say he doesn't bake,
for yourself in the future: I've seen Sweet n low brand sugar free cake and
frosting mixes in our local grocery store. There are LOTS of sugar free
products out there, but you just have to be careful to make them only an
occaisonal treat, since they often have very high carbohydrate counts and
more fat than regualar sweets. Enjoy, and Happy Birthday.

I just recently started the Isopure and it is similar to Gatorade but has
40g of protein per bottle. Horrible after taste but much easier to swallow
then some of the protein bars that I have tried. Good luck and have a
great bday!

I actually just had a birthday, myself. We eneder up having sugar free
angle food cake. My husband bought it at super Target. It can be topped
with sliced stawberries mixed with spenda to sweeten it up. I like it just
plain. Anyways- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Dottie,
My dear hubby made one for me like this...he bought a sugar free angel food
cake at Walmart...less than $4.00. He also bought fresh strawberries,
coconut cream pie Blue Bunny yogurt (also Walmart, 48 cents per container),
and whipped cream. He sliced the cake into layers, sliced the berries, and
mixed the yogurt and whipped cream together like a mousse consistency. Then
he simply layered the cake, berries, mousse mixture up into a cake, and
topped with more whipped cream (or cool whip). It was FABULOUS!!!
