Question:
Can transceted patients still develop leaks post-op?
Is there ever a time when we're no longer at risk? — Sarahlicious (posted on July 8, 2003)

Most leaks occur within the first week, and generally are present at
surgery, but miss detection. My surgeon says by a month out the risk is
near zero. Barb Thompsons book said a experienced surgeons leak rate is
less than 2%.
