Question:
Need ideas to make it go down easier

I got my Nectar in yesterday and tried it last night. Ok..it is tolerable. I got the Carribean Cooler. It is allright. But does anyone have any ideas or recipes to jazz it up? And how many scoops to 8 oz of water...as in tsp or tbsp? I guess I am gonna have to buy some straws(I have no problems drinking through one) so I can get it down quicker. It is a HUGE container. My husband said I had better like it...lol. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! God bless!    — dixieb (posted on July 1, 2003)

Dottie - there should be a scoop somewhere in the container. Sometimes they settle to the middle of the jar. Get a long wooden spoon and go fishing for it. Once you find it, it's one scoop per 8 oz of water. I just put it in a sports bottle with 8 oz water, about 8-10 ice cubes and the scoop of Nectar. Then I shake it up on the way back from the kitchen and it's all ready for me to drink when I get into the living room...JR

You can make it better by adding some banana and rum flavoring to it. Not much...it only takes a tiny bit.

I haven't tried the Caribbean Cooler flavor, but I mix the cherry flavored Nectar with various flavors of Crystal Light (I especially like it with the grapefruit CL or s/f fruit punch Koolaid). I'll pour a 12 ounce glass of regular-strength Crystal Light or Koolaid into one scoop of Nectar powder (which is 4 tablespoons, by the way), and then add another 12 ounces of water. I find the Nectar to be too strong if I put only 8 ounces of water per scoop. Try a few different flavors until you find one that appeals to you.
