I was denied with Cigna PPo do I have a chance?

They denied me because i do not haf TWO professionally supervised weight loss programs for a minimum of 26weeks. However I have a year and a half of documentation for Weight Watchers. I have Cigna PPO .. I was approved with out the supervised diets . Dont give up ...sometimes you need to appeal just to show them youre serious , I have heard . I wrote them a very heart felt letter also did you include family history ? what medical problems do you have from excess weight ? I hear they are doing more and more approvals for preventive health care ..stress the money this surgery will save them in the long run as opposed to the future problems your declining health will cost them over the years , remind them thats its a proven fact that morbidly obese people contract more diabetes, cancer as well as heart problems and sleep apena . stress how long you have been morbidly obese . Repeat about weigh watchers and list any and all weight loss attemps you have made .Stress that you are DETERMINED to have this surgery for your Life and that you will not stop at a denial of your appeal .. Tell them you will contact the President of Cigna ( use his name ) you will file a discrimanation claim , Hire a lawer , what ever it takes . When they know you mean bussiness they will approve you .. I encluded all of this in my first letter .. you see I was determined I would have this surgery as my sister died in her sleep at age 34 of a massive heart attack while fighting her ins Co. for approval :( I also encluded this and almost dared them to deny me and let me die too . Just DONT give up , thats what they want you to do ..remember its the sqeeky wheel that gets oiled first ,,, Good luck to you . Ruthie IN SC
