Hello, I just joined 3 weeks ago in Michigan. I went when they had their
60% of special. The original cost is about $159.00 for a membership and
$29.99 per month with a year commitment. You need a savings or checking
account. I don't know if this is only in Michigan for this price but I
would assume it is about the same everywhere. So to start, I paid $89.99
for the first month and $29.99 every month after. One plus is that my
daughter joined for $10.00 a month but still had to pay the membership fee
which was on sale. If you have someone refer you, you can get the special
price too. Hope it helps!

I live in Alabama. My Curves here is wonderful!!!
The normal registration fee is $149 and $ 29.00 per month if you sign the 1
yr.contract,or $39 per month if you don't sign the contract. The owner of
the Curves in Auburn,AL knows that those of us that have had WLS have
already made a BIG commitment to lose weight,so she DOES NOT CHARGE the
upfront fee for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Free start up fee,$29 a month. This is so
great!! Check into that at your Curves.

I just joined last night. In northwest Indiana it is also on sale now.
50% off the membership fee ($149 regularly) and $29 a month with automatic
check withdrawal or $39 if you make the payment yourself. Like the
previous poster said, you do need a checking account to do the automatic
withdrawal. My membership doesn't officially start until June 1st after I
get clearance from dr, but from what I saw there, I'm really looking
forward to it.
Good luck.

Just a note to anyone looking to join Curves or any other gym or health
club. Consumer Reports recently did an article about health clubs that
suggested that if the club of your choice is running a "special"
when you're ready to join, be assertive and request a deal. If you are
agreeing to sign a commitment for a year, they should waive the membership
charges. I am willing to bet that if you walk in saying "I'm ready to
sign up but only if you waive the membership charges" they won't let
you walk out the door. I had a gym membership that I let lapse and
recently went back in again. They weren't having any "specials"
and stated that as a former member, I wasn't eligible for any specials in
any case. But I pointed out that I paid the registration fee the first
time and didn't want to pay it again. The rep agreed without argument and
even gave me a deal on the first six months of my membership. Nothing's
written in stone and if you don't ask, you won't know.
