Question:
Does anyone else eat Egg Rolls?
I've been looking for some vegetables to eat other than green beans. Cabbage is on my nutrition's list. So I thought I would try egg rolls. I just bought some from the deli area of Kroger. They are chicken and I can bake them in the over...no deep fryin'. They have 120 calories and 6 grams of protien. Does anyone else eat egg rolls post-op? I looked in the library and didn't see them mentioned. — Sarahlicious (posted on May 9, 2003)

I ate the inside of a regular Chinese take-out egg roll. Didn't want the
greasy outside. Tasted great!!!!

I love them, it was a nice change when I finally ate one. I cant tolerate
the grease. LaChoy puts out the mini ones that you can put in the
microwave and they are great also.

In the early days I could eat the insides of them, but skipped the wrap (it
sat like a rock on my pouch). By 3 or 4 months out I could eat some of the
wrap, but chose to not eat it all - lots of flour in that! Not suggesting
you shouldn't eat them, but have you tried cabbage rolls (cabbage rolled
around a ground meat mixture), canned corned beef and cabbage, steamed
& buttered cabbage? I also like it stir-fried with beef and soy sauce.
Yummm. Anyway the worse that will happen is you won't like it or it won't
like your pouch :>) Good luck!

Egg rolls made me throw up when I tried them. Haven't tried them since.
Good luck.
