Question:
WHAT VITAMINS CAN BE TAKEN TOGETHER AND WHAT CAN
What can be taken together or maybe I should ask what vitamins can't be taken together. Calcium, multi, iron, B12. — Kelly* P. (posted on May 3, 2003)

I know iron should not be taken with dairy products or antacids so I would
think it shouldn't be take with calcium. Check the packages and ask the
pharmacist even if you buy it over the counter.

There's a question that's a few days back about multi vitamins. I'm not
sure when, but I think it's probably still in the last 300. Anyway, it has
an answer from Michelle Curran (the vitalady in www.vitalady.com) which
talks about this very thing. You could also go to her website and see if
the information is there. If not, I know there's a place on the site where
you can send her an email and ask. She had WLS about 9 years ago and is
still very active on Q&A, espeically when it comes to answering
questions about vitamins and minerals.

Iron + C, but not with dairy, caffeine, other vites, meds or minerals,
alone together for at least an hour. Calcium hangs out with vit D &
magnesium. It's ok to take your multi with your calcium. If you are using
the right irons (not ferrous uslfate) and the right calcium (citrate), both
those forms can be taken near food. In other words, you don't have to
worry about being empty. Just with iron, don't take it with a grilled
cheese sandwich, you know? No dairy.
