Question:
Why am I not losing weight?
My surgery was 2/3/03. I was 326 LBS and got down to 262 LBS two weeks before surgery. At my two week check-up I had lost 9 LBS (253). So, that was 9 LBS in four weeks. It has been 16 days since then and I have lost 13 LBS (240). I only started losing after I began eating Stage 3 "soft solid foods". I walk 30-45 mins. in the morning, 30-45 after lunch, and 30 minutes of cardio (Tae Bo) at night. Granted I am not a patient person, but is this slow? — Candy G. (posted on March 5, 2003)

Candy - you have lost 22 pounds in a month. Don't count the two weeks
prior. Or you have lost 86 pounds from your highest. You are doing fine, in
fact, you are doing superbly. It will come off, at this point, you are a
"lightweight" and it comes off slower. Follow the rules and
occasionally change up your excersize and your calories. Our bodies get
used to certain things and stop losing. Throw in some wieght lifting. Do
some yoga. You may have started to lose after you added more cals. Your
body may think it is starving. Get in the protein. You know the drill. (OK
at this point I'm giving myself a pep talk too LOL) Hang in there, you are
doing great.
