Question:
Has any one gotten Kaiser to pay for excess skin removal I am nowhere near goal

and I already have an hanging apron also skin in pubic area is hanging and I am already getting raw red rashes still have 90 more to loose just want to be prepared    — kathy B. (posted on January 31, 2003)

Kaiser seems to have a "no way in hell will we pay for skin removal" attitude... I have looked in the library and have yet to find anyone who has gotten Kaiser to pay for it... But, having said that, while I was attending one of their weight loss classes, I found many of my classmates were employee's of Kaiser. They said that if you go to your PCP for EVERY rash, over and over again, you MAY get approval for this procedure. They said that it could take a year or two to get it though. Keep in mind that this is just second hand information, and Kaiser's offical policy is not to cover it... Hope this helps.
