I had my WLS on July 5th and have lost 92 lbs. My tattoo is fine. It is
located on my lower leg but is quite a big tattoo and still looks
wonderful. I even think it looks more colorful since my skin isn't dried
out anymore after surgery.

Hi Jennifer-I think this will depend on your age, your specific skin, the
location of the tattoos and your weight loss-I am 28 have lost 180lbs and
only 1 (of 5 )may need to be touched up-but its a small price to pay! The
ones on my back, upper arm and thigh looks great, but the one on my breast
will need some creative genious to recover-unfortunately I have no self
confidence to allow myself to bare all for an artist to work his/her magic,
but maybe if I get a boob lift it will be removed and then I can start
anew. Just a side note, I have been lifting weights, moisturizing and
drinking plenty of water since Day 1 so I think that has a lot to do with
how my skin rebounded too. Best of luck to you!
