Question:
How long after surgery do you have to wait to have sex?

I think as soon as you're physically comfortable, go for it! Good exercise, too!

I'd wait until you get off the OR table - they're kinda hard *G*...JR

Whenever you feel like it probably, just make sure he doesn't lay on your tummy! Have fun!

My dr also said 3 weeks, and use good judgement, I guess the swinging from the chandelier is out!!!

My dr said whenever you feel comfortable, but at least 2-3 weeks. We waited until I could get back in bed after sleeping in the recliner, which was 3 weeks.

Will yours be open or lap? I had my RNY lap, and they told me no sex until my first check-up (7-10 days after). Of course, you should wait longer if you're still in pain (I wasn't ;).

I waited about 4 weeks after my initial open RNY to have sex but we were very careful. After my second surgery, I waited again 4 weeks, but I had an open wound infection and I thought it had healed. It started leaking right away and we waited another 3 weeks before trying again, even though I wasn't in any pain. Just be careful.
