Question:
Has anyone had a revision on the Gastric Bypass surgery. Is a lap procedure possible?

I had a revision in 2002 after a gastroplasty in 1983. My surgeon said he can only do open surgery on revisions but he has heard of a surgeon in California who does them lap. If I can get the name from him I'll be glad to forward it to you. Good luck!

My surgeon does revisions all the time LAP. It depends on the skills and tools of your surgeon. One patient had a VBG, and 5 other belly surgeries. Their LAP RNY took 3.5 hours but went fine. We are friends, their surgery was the same day as Jens. You will need to shop around a bit.
