I wouldn't go to crazy right now. If you want to buy things for the
surgery, get some s/f Jello, and s/f popsicles, some broth, and s/f
kool-aid. I wouldn't buy any protein drinks until after surgery because
your tastes may change, and you don't want to get stuck with some protein
drinks you cannot stand to drink, they're hard enough to drink as it is. I
sent you an email, feel free to email me anytime with questions or
concerns.

Hi Cathy, I live in Maryland, had my surgery 1 year ago @ Johns Hopkins,
Bayview. My e-mail address is [email protected]. I would be very happy
to help you in any way I can. Also, my surgeon, Dr. Magnusen has a support
group (free) the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the conference room @
Bayview. These meetings have become so important for me. We have lots of
newbies and many of us verterans. 1 hour is devoted to questions and
answers and the 2nd hour is usually a guest speaker (they have all been
wonderful). Starts @5:30pm. Please come join us, you don't have to be Dr.
Magnusen's patient. But in the meantime, please e-mail me with any
questions, I am only too glad to help you through this.
